Welcome to the Lower Rank Department.

 

This department is run by the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, the Instructor for Advancement, and is advised by two Assistant Scout Masters. This department specializes in aiding scouts (between the ranks of Scout to First Class) as they advance through the ranks. We teach patrol leaders about advancement supervision and give advice to every scout on how to advance as efficiently as possible. In addition, we arrange Scoutmaster’s Conferences and Boards of Review for any scout who calls for one.  On top of all this, our department works closely with the Program Department so that the troop can provide special advancement opportunities for scouts throughout the year which could include things like cooking, hiking, and service hours.
